Prolex-UK are proud to announce sponsorship of Declan Hicks Toyota Soarer GZ20 Twin Turbo D1 Drift Car which competes in the D1 Drift Championship of Great Britain.

Prolex-UK supplied a full stainless exhaust system of which the driver, Declan had this to say, "After the first two D1 rounds everyone was commenting on how quiet my car was and how it could do with some more noise, thankfully Prolex-UK stepped in and offered me a full custom made stainless steel system to my requirements. A trip to the Prolex-UK workshops ensued and a new 3", decatted, single box & resonator system was custom made for me all in the same day. The noise of the straight six 1G engine is now a lovely gentle burble at tickover, when the twin turbo's come on boost it becomes a different beast alltogether. The decatted single box system also allows some huge crackles of flamage with full boost high rpm upchanges which the crowds rather like, hence the blue flame tip actually gets to see some real flames on my car. The other upside following a trip to the dyno was a 400 rpm lower boost point with much better turbo spool up adding a useful increase in low end torque and an additional 15bhp just from the exhaust upgrade. Oh and did I mention the noise!".

The Car:

Toyota Soarer GZ20 fitted with the 1G-GTE Gen. 3 engine, inline 2.0 6 cylinder, 24 valve twin turbo. Currently runs 340BHP on Blitz BAG Turbo's, with HKS boost control, FCON engine management and Prolex-UK full stainless steel exhaust system.
